ANOTHER BUMPER CROP OF ENTRIES FOR INDUSTRY AWARDS

10 September 2018

It’s been another bumper crop of Excellence in Holography Awards’ entries, which come at a time when the International Hologram Manufacturers Association celebrates 25 years leading the industry.

More than 46 entries have been received for this year’s awards, which will be held as part of the annual Holography Conference taking place in Minsk, Belarus on November 15 and 16th.

This is the second highest number of awards nominations - only surpassed by last year’s 50 entries, which coincided with the industry marking the 70th anniversary of the invention of the hologram.

Recognising outstanding achievement and those who have been at the forefront of the sector, the awards celebrate innovative or commercially viable hologram products or techniques over the last 12 months.

IHMA chairman Manoj Kochar says that the Excellence in Holography Awards continue to go from strength-to-strength, adding:

“Our awards reflect a healthy, successful and growing industry. They come at a significant time for the IHMA and the industry, which is seeing the technology’s diversification into new and exciting commercial sectors.

“All the hard work and effort to maximise nominations continues to pay off. So, it’s top marks to all our members for submitting their work and continuing commitment to delivering industry-wide excellence.”

A panel of experts from the IHMA Board will be judging the entries on 12th September across several categories. These will include best in Holographic Technology, Origination, Display or Emerging Technology Applications and Applied Security, Decorative and Packaging Products.

The annual Brian Monaghan Award for Business Innovation, given at the discretion of the Board, will also be presented in recognition of outstanding industry achievement and contribution. More at www.theholographyconference.com
