Holography awards open for entries

09 June 2017

ENTRIES are open to find the best commercial holography applications with nominations being welcomed for the 2017 industry awards.

The annual Excellence in Holography Awards are organised by the International Hologram Manufacturers Association (IHMA) and will be presented at the forthcoming Holography Conference, which will be held from November 16 - 17 in Barcelona.

The awards recognise outstanding achievement and mark those who have been at the forefront of the sector, introducing innovative or commercially viable hologram products or techniques over the past year.

Attended by delegates from hologram suppliers, manufacturers and users around the world worldwide, the conference will also feature displays of product from the winners and runners-up.

Any company or individual is eligible to enter - not just IHMA members - and the award categories include innovations for the best in Holographic Technology, Origination, Display or Emerging Technology Applications and Applied Security, Decorative and Packaging Products.

The closing date for applications is August 25th and covers hologram projects involving commercial production after August 1, 2016.

A panel of sector experts, which will include a representative of the IHMA and two invited independent judges (an authentication specialist and a promotion or design expert) will be on this year’s judging panel.

The annual Brian Monaghan Award for Business Innovation, given at the discretion of the Board, will also be presented in recognition of outstanding industry achievement and contribution.

IHMA chairman Manoj Kochar said: “The awards celebrate the very best in holographic achievement and the many remarkable innovations the industry introduces each year.

“Creativity, flair and design excellence are again expected to lead the way in this year’s crop of entries, reflecting how holography pushes the holographic boundaries forward both technically and commercially.”

Anyone involved in a hologram project can enter while others can nominate holographic projects for an award if they provide details of the user or producer of the hologram.   Application forms from Kim Del Pellegrino, IHMA at info@ihma.org or www.theholographyconference.com
